Day 1. Arrival in Anchorage, AK.
A short drive through the city is followed by a hotel check in.
2 nights in Anchorage.
Day 2. Anchorage - Whittier - Prince William Sound - Anchorage.
View the beautiful sights on the way from Anchorage to Whittier. The 50 -mile drive takes you by the way of fjords and the foothills of Chugach Mountains. Take the 5 - hour cruise of Prince William Sound. View the glaciers, abundant marine life. Upon returning to Anchorage, you may want to dine at the Sourdough Mining Company.
Night in West Yellowstone.
Day 3. Anchorage - Glennallen.
Today you are to take the scenic Glenn Highway to Glenallen, crossing Palmer and Matanuska Valleys. Among other photo stops, that we recommend in our Insider's Secrets, pause at Tahnita Pass to view Matanuska River and Worthington Glacier. Photo stop at Bridal Vail Falls.
Night in Glennallen.
Day 4. Glenallen - Fairbanks.
Take Richardson Hwy North, and enjoy wonderful views of the valleys, lakes and tundra in the Alaska Range. View Trans Alaska Pipeline. Evening arrival in Fairbanks – the second largest city in Alaska.
2 nights in Fairbanks.
Day 5. Fairbanks.
Take a 3.5 hour cruise on Chena and Tanana rivers, on board of paddle wheeler Discovery. Alaska Range Overlook. Visit Museum of Alaska University.
Day 6. Fairbanks – Denali NP.
This morning take a narrow gauge train to Eldorado Gold Mine. Arrive Denali National Park. In the evening you may want to treat yourself to a dinner in Denali Dinner Theater.
2 nights in Denali.
Day 7. Denali National Park.
All day today we tour this giant National Park. Experience a true wilderness, view Mt. McKinley – the tallest peak in North America, abundant wildlife, including grizzly bears.
Day 8. Denali - Anchorage.
Leave your hotel in the morning, heading South. There are 2 highlights in your today’s program: a visit to the town of Talkeetna and a photo stop at Iditarod Headquarters.
Your tour ends in Anchorage. Give yourself a farewell driving tour, covering places you may not have seen yet, and head for the airport for your flight home.
